The Coronation of Prof Wenikado Sylvester Ganagana Ph.D, as the Akenda-owei of Angiama

Chief Wenikado Sylvester Ganagana coronated as the Akenda-owei 1 of Angiama Federated Communities.

History was made on Friday 30th December 2022 at the Community Primary School Etiaware when the five Communities that made up the Akedein-Owei - Etiaware, Toru- Engoware, Bulu Engoware, Tamukunu and Amatibi hosted dignitaries across the length and breath of both Delta and Bayelsa States to the Coronation ceremony of Chief, Sir Prof Wenikado Sylvester Ganagana PhD, PhD as the Akenda-owei 1, Fuun Buloda-owei 1 and Aken the 3rd of Angiama Federated Communities in the Akenden-owei Clan.

Speaking at the occasion, High Chief Aladei Agua, the Chairman of the Council of Chiefs in Mein Clan and who was the Chairman of the occasion Called for togetherness of the sons and daughters of the Akenden-owei, stressing that the Akenden-owei has existed for decades.

He said, this Coronation posses no harm to any institution and individuals, adding that no one should make any attempt to disrupt the historic stool.

In his welcome address, the National President of Angiama Progress Council, Mr. Ebikibina Germany who is also a Director of Treasury in Bayelsa State briefed the Dignitaries and the general public the history of the Akenden-owei existence which according to him started from Lagos by few illustrious Akeden-owei sons.

He use the medium to thank all invited guests for colorfully gracing the occasion.

In his vote of thanks, the Akenda-owei 1, Chief, Sir, Prof Wenikado Sylvester Ganagana expressed gratitude to God Almighty for making this occasion a success.

He said, this Coronation is a call to responsibility and service and assured the people of Aken that greater things would be achieved with unity and togetherness.

He used the occasion to send a message of peace and unity to the Ibenanaowei of Kumbuowei Kingdom HRM King Jackson Angalabiri, adding that his Coronation as the Akenda-owei is an additional blessing to the entire Akedein-owei Clan.

Prof, Wenikado Ganagana extended special unreserved appreciation to Dr. Churson Buokuromo Obosi, Commissioner for Special Duties Bayelsa West Senatorial District, Mr. Lawson Ayakoroma for their huge financial contributions to the successful coronation.

He went further to thank Rt. Hon. Basil Okolobaowei Ganagana, former Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly,Prof. Samuel Gowon Edoumiekumo Vice Chancellor of the Niger Delta University and others for supporting the Coronation financially supporting the Coronation.
