BIBOPERE ORGANIZES CHRISTMAS PARTY FOR CHILDREN

Every Christmas comes with diverse celebrations, glamour and with the concentration of individuals on their family and immediate loved ones, mostly living out the indigent children.  Such is not the case for the children of Arogbo Ibe as Snr. High Chief Bibopere Ajube, the Beleukoriwei of Arogbo Ibe and CEO, Bibopere Group of Companies Ltd celebrates Christmas with them on the 25th day of every December. 



The Children's Christmas Party this year was held at his private estate (God's Own City), Agadagba-Obon in Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State. And it was highly thrilling, exciting and colorful, as the children and adults danced to soul-stirring and body-moving music. It will also interest you to know that the benevolent Senior High Chief has been on this for a decade now. This is the tenth Christmas Party the remarkable CEO of Bradama International Skill Works Ltd is celebrating with the children of Arogbo-Ijaw Kingdom

Niger Delta Republic

By Elagha Isaac   On February 23, 1966, the autonomous Niger Delta Republic was declared by Isaac Jasper Adaka Boro, who believed the people of the area, mostly Ijaw, deserved a larger share of the proceeds of the oil wealth, and considered armed revolt as the only way to ensure that.  He formed the Niger Delta Volunteer Force, an armed militia with members consisting mainly of his fellow Ijaw ethnic group, and fought with federal forces for 12 days before being defeated.  He and his comrades were jailed for treason, but Boro was granted amnesty by General Yakubu Gowon  on the eve of the Nigerian civil war in May 1967, and commissioned as a major in the Nigerian army. He died in 1968 at Ogu, near Okrika, in Rivers State.
